Research – Real Property

Legal ResearchWithin the federal government and Nova Scotia land information systems, Thompson Conn provides the necessary research and background information to land owners and lawyers to enable them to make a determination of various aspects of land ownership, rights-of-way, easements, and services.

With over 20 years experience in cadastral work, our lead researcher is ideally suited to handle any size projects that involve boundary and land issues.  Recent work has included a large project for land acquisition of a 50 km proposed railway line and 300m port facility.

Other typical projects include:

  • Investigations and preparation of reports and investigations for use in the legal system.
  • Boundary disputes
  • Clarification of rights of way
  • Boundary determination

Thompson Conn is able to dovetail our detailed research capability and extensive boundary surveying experience with photogrammetric expertise of Eastcan Geomatics to prepare mapping from aerial photography as early as 1928 to find solutions to boundary and title problems.
