Aerial Surveys & Photo Control

Aerial survey of the Halifax MarketThompson Conn, in partnership with Eastcan Geomatics, is able to provide our government clients with a complete aerial survey service. Our team is able to assist clients from the planning stages, defining flight lines and ground control, to the final delivery of structured data in various GIS formats. Together, with our partner companies, we are able to provide aerial photography (digital and film) plus LiDAR (light detection and ranging) data, followed by photogrammetric data collection, ortho-rectified imagery and database development.

Our services also include the establishment of ground control targets to be used in aerial triangulation (AT) adjustments. We are able to provide reference stations for the adjustment of airborne GPS values for photographic and LiDAR data collection. Alternatively, we are able to establish photo identifiable ground control points on existing imagery.

We have successfully completed community mapping projects for the Province of Newfoundland-Labrador, asset management mapping for the Department of National Defence, First Nations Base Mapping for Natural Resources Canada and asset management mapping for Halifax Regional Water Commission.
